Last week the children were talking about how they got to Pre-school, we talked about our favourite sports and sporting activities and they practised outside in our P.E. time: - kicking, throwing and catching balls and moving in different ways.
This week is “Cooking Week”. Everyday the children will taste/make something yummy to have at juice time.
On Monday they will have crumpets.
On Tuesday they will have hot cross buns.
On Wednesday they will make chocolate nests using cornflakes.
On Thursday they will make white chocolate nests using rice Krispies.
On Friday they will make chocolate eggs. Yummy!!!
There will be no library or P.E this week. We will however be collecting the library books in, so please make sure that your child returns their book and then they can start afresh next term.
To celebrate Easter this year the children will all have the opportunity to make an Easter band (headband) on Friday 23rd March. This week is a non uniform week and we ask that every child brings in £1 so they can put their photo on the big Easter egg so that the Easter bunny can see and hopefully he will leave something nice at Pre-school.
We break up for Easter on Friday 23rd March for 2 weeks and return on Monday 9thApril. The main school is celebrating “Sport Relief” on Friday and our Pre-schoolers are very welcome to come dressed in their sporty clothes and you can make a voluntary donation if you wish.
We still need birthday cards so if you would like to make one at home with your child over the break that would be lovely.
Date for your diary :- Pre-school sport’s day will be on Wednesday 23rd May. 11am. It will last for approximately an hour.
Any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to ask.
Happy Easter everyone!
Mrs. Williscroft – Pre-school Manager.
