Spring Term 2018.

Week 5.

This is the last week before we break up for half term (one week). We break up on Friday 9th February and return on Monday 19th February.

We will visit the library on Monday so please ensure that your child’s library book is in his/her bookbag so that they can choose a new one to bring home. Thank you.

Last week the children were looking at lots of different books, choosing their favourites, talking about stories and who reads to us at home.

We visited the main school Reception classes on Tuesday morning and Thursday afternoon. The children played with the older children and lots of different toys.

On Friday 9th we are having a non-uniform day and in honour of “Valentine’s day”, we ask that the children come dressed as “something that they love”. We ask that all parents/carers give a voluntary contribution of £1. All monies raised will go towards Pre-school activities.

This week it is tasting week.

On Monday the children will be tasting prawn crackers.

On Tuesday the children will taste noodles and dips (Chinese New Year during half term) and on Wednesday the children will be tasting naan bread mango and mint sauce. On Thursday they will try spring rolls and on Friday they will have pancakes. (Shrove Tuesday next week).

All these goodies will be eaten by the children at juice time. Please let us know if your child has any allergies. Scrumptious!!

The Little Urchin photographs are absolutely stunning! My grandchildren had some taken and like you, I’m struggling to know which ones to order. Could I have any orders with proofs and monies by Wednesday 7th February (or you can order on line), so I can take them to the Post Office. Please let me know if you are ordering on line. Thank you.

Any worries or questions, please do not hesitate to ask any members of the team.

Thank you for your continued support and have a lovely half term.

Mrs. Williscroft

Pre-school Manager.
